Alexandra Colombo

Alexandra is an 800-hour advanced certified Jivamukti teacher based in Luxembourg.

Her yoga journey began in 2007 during her pregnancy. She was amazed at how the practice helped her achieve much-needed physical, mental, and spiritual balance during this special period of her life. Over time, she realised that yoga offered her something she had always longed for: the ability to grow into a more compassionate, strong, and balanced individual.

The more she immersed herself in yoga, the more she discovered its power to soothe her physical, mental, and emotional state, no matter the circumstances. Among the many styles she explored, it was within Jivamukti Yoga that she found the method that truly resonated with her.

She completed her 300-hour Jivamukti Teacher Training in India in early 2015. Upon returning to Luxembourg in 2016, she co-founded Yoga Palais. In March 2019, she co-founded Jivamukti Yoga Luxembourg, the first official Jivamukti center in the country.

Later that year, Alexandra became an advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher and is now a mentor in the Jivamukti Teacher Training Program. She sees teaching as an opportunity to serve, share, and learn, and views the mat as a microcosm of the wider macrocosm—a place to experience the Self.

When she is not at Jivamukti Yoga Luxembourg, she works with ceramics, walks in the forest and immerses herself in the studies of the mind and emotions.

She is deeply grateful to the teachers who have profoundly touched her heart—Sharon Gannon, David Life, Jules Febre, and Gregor Maehle.

“Yoga taught me that the most amazing gift I have is the breath. And if I can breathe, I can live. And since I have this gift of life, I will do my best to live as beautifully as I can.”
